Privacy Policy

Effective August 20, 2026.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Owlgorithm (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, apps, and related services (the “Service”).

2. Information we collect

Account data. Name, email address, password (stored hashed), profile preferences, Owl Companion / brand settings you save, and membership plan status.

Usage & device data. Session records, approximate location derived from IP (where processed), device/browser type, app version, diagnostics, and security logs (IP, user-agent) for abuse prevention.

Content you provide. Media, captions, schedules, connected-account metadata, support messages, and other materials you upload or generate in the Service.

Device permissions. If you record in Creator Studio or Post Now, the app may use your camera and microphone for that recording session only. We do not capture background camera or microphone audio. File picker access is used when you choose media to upload.

Payment & subscription data. We do not store full payment card numbers on Owlgorithm servers when payments are processed by Apple, Google, Stripe, or similar processors. We receive limited billing metadata such as subscription status, product identifiers, renewal dates, Founder enrollment status, and transaction receipts needed to unlock entitlements and prevent fraud.

Connected platforms. If you authorize social account connections, we receive tokens and profile identifiers needed to publish or read status, subject to that platform’s permissions. YouTube connections are described in Section 5.

3. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Owl Intell processing

Features such as captions, strategy suggestions, trend scoring, and Truth Radar analysis may send prompts, media metadata, or trend context to Owl Intell model providers under contract. Do not submit sensitive personal data you are not authorized to process. Outputs are generated automatically and may be retained briefly for safety, debugging, and quality improvement according to our retention practices and provider agreements.

5. YouTube API Services

If you choose Connect YouTube, Owlgorithm uses YouTube API Services to talk to Google on your behalf. By connecting, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.

We collect OAuth access and refresh tokens, the Google account identifiers needed to keep that connection, and your YouTube channel id, title, and related channel metadata. After you publish, we may store the YouTube video id and privacy status returned by YouTube so we can show honest publish results. Tokens are encrypted at rest.

We use this data only to connect your channel, upload or schedule videos you submit in Creator Studio or Post Now, confirm those uploads belong to your channel, and show connection health. Channel Analytics is optional and is not requested until Google has verified Owlgorithm for that restricted scope.

Owlgorithm’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and to the YouTube API Services – Developer Policies. YouTube user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing YouTube features in Owlgorithm: connecting a channel, showing honest connection status, uploading or scheduling videos the creator submits, and confirming those uploads. We do not sell YouTube user data. We do not use it for advertising, credit decisions, or independent surveillance. We do not allow humans to read YouTube user data unless the creator asked us to for support, we must do so for security or legal compliance, or the data is aggregated and no longer identifiable.

You can disconnect YouTube in Platforms. You can also revoke Owlgorithm in your Google Account permissions. Disconnecting or revoking stops new YouTube API calls; we delete stored YouTube tokens for that account. Limited records needed for security, disputes, or legal compliance may remain for a short period as described in Retention & deletion.

Google’s privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy. Crawler URL: https://www.owlgorithm.tech/privacy.html.

6. Sharing

We may share information with:

7. App Store & billing partners

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to Apple’s or Google’s privacy practices. Those companies process payment details directly. Manage or cancel those subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google account settings.

8. Retention & deletion

Account data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account from Settings, we remove account records, saved settings, and active sessions from the application database, subject to limited retention required for security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or billing reconciliation (for example, transaction receipts).

Backups may persist for a short period before irreversible deletion. Founder recognition markers that are historical and non-personal (for example, public Founder number on an optional Founder Wall you opted into) may remain if you chose to display them publicly, unless you request removal where feasible.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted transport, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Children’s privacy

The Service is for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it.

11. International transfers

We may process data in the United States and other countries where we or our vendors operate. Where required, we use appropriate transfer mechanisms.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Right to Access: Request a copy of your personal data.

EU/UK Residents (GDPR/UK GDPR): Our legal bases for processing include contract performance (to provide the Service), consent (where you opted in), and legitimate interests (security, product improvement). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
